State of Handoff Communication
This survey will ask about four primary types of handoffs: 1) Service week transitions: Handoffs given between providers when transitioning service weeks 2) Overnight shifts: Handoff given from the daytime provider to the overnight provider. 3) New ED admissions: Handoff given from the ED provider to an inpatient provider. 4) Transfers within the hospital: Handoffs given from a provider in one unit of the hospital to a provider in a different unit of the hospital (e.g. ICU to floor)
